Where can I buy shipping crates in Vancouver?
Order from Pacific Crate. We sell standard and custom wooden shipping crates in Vancouver. We ship every order to the customer's address, unless you request a pick-up from our Surrey, BC warehouse.
What sizes of shipping crates do you make?
We can build to std. sizes such as 24 × 18 × 18 inches up to 48 × 48 × 48 inches. And we can build all crates to your required dimensions of course.
How do I measure for a custom crate?
Measure the longest, widest and tallest points of the item, then add the packing you want around it. Give us those inside dimensions and the gross weight. If you are unsure, send photos and we will size it for you.
Do you sell shipping crates across Canada?
Yes. We sell shipping crates Canada-wide. We ship every order to the customer's address, whether that is Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, elsewhere in British Columbia or any other province.
Do I need heat-treated wood for export?
Most countries require wood packaging in international shipments to be heat-treated and stamped to the ISPM-15 standard. Tell us the destination country and we will confirm what is needed.
Can a crate be lifted by forklift or crane?
Yes. Tell us the weight and how it will be handled. We build the base and bracing to suit and mark the lift points on the crate.
Closed panel or open slat: which should I choose?
Closed panels protect against dust and weather and suit fragile items. Open-slat crates are lighter and cheaper, and suit sturdy goods that need airflow or a quick visual check.
How long does a shipping crate take to build?
Standard sizes are quicker than custom builds. Lead time depends on size and quantity, so we confirm a date when we send your quote.
Can I get a crate flat-packed?
Yes, for many sizes. Flat-packed crates cost less to ship and are quick to assemble. Ask when you request a quote.
How do I get a price for a custom shipping crate?
Email or call us with your dimensions, weight, quantity and delivery city. We reply with a fixed price.
